Red Dead Redemption 2 Information

The first mention of the game was during the fall of 2016 as fans were teased with a potential sequel to the Red Dead franchise. Not long after that, on October 20, the first trailer was released and it attracted attention from around the world. As Christmas, the video has more than 15 million views.

Though Rockstar Games haven’t announced a lot, if any, news about the game, Red Dead Redemption 2 is nonetheless very popular. There is barely any marketing effort going into it, but players are still waiting and anticipating the official release. The reason behind all this attention is, without a doubt, the immense success the original games had.

As recently as September 2017, the second trailer got released as well. That confirmed not only that the game is on its way but gave some basic information about some of the mechanics. Rockstar hasn’t released any information about the gameplay but plans to release the Red Dead Redemption 2 Demo very soon, it will be uploaded on this site as soon as it’s out.

Game Storyline and Gameplay

The story takes place in the American Wild West. The main protagonist is Arthur Morgan, a member of Dutch van der Linde’s gang. The gang is well known around the heartland for their robberies and murders. It eventually disbanded, but not without one last, huge robbery. As one of the outlaws in the gang, Arthur is an outlaw. The game focuses mainly on him and his point of view during the ongoing events.

It has been speculated for some time that Red Dead Redemption 2 is actually a prequel to the first part of the game. For instance, Dutch appears much younger in the new trailer, compared to him from Red Dead Redemption. The PC Demo only focuses on a small part of the full story, primarily to give a glimpse of what’s to come in the future. The other, thing that points out to the game being a prequel, is the gang name. Dutch van der Linde’s gang was created well before Dutch’s gang.
